I think most of us really hate running 100 milers deep inside, and as I get deeper into the sport and run more 100’s I realize that it’s OK to hate something and keep coming back for more. I keep seeing the same people out there over and over again, and I think most of them hate it too. Maybe it’s the hate for the distance and the pain and suffering that comes with it that makes us love everything else so much more. Maybe that’s the secret to the transformation that seemingly happens the second you snag that buckle.
